25th District Court
The 25th District Court has jurisdiction over matters that occur in the cities of Ecorse, Lincoln Park, and River Rouge. All cases originating from these three cities will be handled in the Lincoln Park courthouse. The 25th District Court has exclusive jurisdiction over civil litigation, criminal misdemeanors, the arraignment, setting, and acceptance of bail and conducting of preliminary examinations in felony cases, traffic and parking violations, small claims disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, and land contract forfeitures.
Please be advised that the 26th District Court located in the River Rouge City Hall has officially closed. The 25th District Court located in Ecorse is also closed. All court business involving the City of River Rouge is now conducted at the 25th District Court in Lincoln Park, Michigan.

If you fail to appear for court:
There may be a bench warrant issued for your arrest and/or a suspension against your driver’s license. Please contact the court for information to resolve these matters. You must contact the court, post the court ordered bond with the 25th District Court, and schedule a new court date to appear before the Judge. You may also choose to appear at the District Court at 9:00 a.m. If the Court completes the day’s docket you will be arraigned before the Judge that day.
