Mission
The Water/Sewer Department is responsible for water meter reading and billing, water main break repairs, catch basin cleaning and repairs, sewer main jetting/cleaning and repair, fire hydrant repair as well as many other various jobs.
The Water/Sewer Department office is in City Hall Room 210. For questions about your water bill, final readings, water turn on and/or turn offs or sewer problems please call the Water Department at (313) 842-4803. The office is usually open Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
Payments for water bills can be made in the City Treasurer’s office on the 1st floor of City Hall. You can also make a payment by check and/or money order and leave it in the drop box located in the front of City Hall in an envelope.

Set up your own account and link your accounts if you have more than one. Any questions regarding setting up your account please contact the Treasurer’s Office at 313-842-5602.
Please be aware of any leaks. The smallest of leaks running every day all day will raise your water bill significantly.
