Governor Whitmer said on May 7 people can start doing construction again. The City of River Rouge Building Department will be open 4 days a week for appointments only. For people and businesses to pull permits these will be the current new business hours, Monday through Wednesday 8:30am to 2:00pm Thursday 11:00am to 4:30pm. Please call the Building Department (313)842-4209 for an appointment to get a building permit. Building codes will be strictly enforced for the safety of our residents. If you know of any building repairs going on without a building permit please call the Building Department (313)842-4209, please practice safe distance.
